The Vintage clarets match against the former Town players was a huge success. The club raised £1,104 to go towards ground development. It has been great to see in a tough year for local traders that they continue to back our football club. Thankyou to our hard working Committee and also the Ladies of the club who worked tirelessly in the clubhouse. Lynn James, Maria Naylor, Joyce Holgate and Judith Southern who put on the food and catering for the match.
We are hoping to make this an annual event and make it bigger next year.
The club also has some more fundraising events lined up as we try and improve our facilities again.
The match itself was played in a great spirit and it finished 6-3 to Burnley. Thankyou to the players from Burnley and to Veronica Simpson for organising the Burnley team. The Barnoldswick Town team was organised by Paul Corrigan and he did a splendid job of finding 20 players for the game.
